For People Graduating or Leaving the University Staff

When you are no longer a student at Tokyo Tech due to graduation or completion of your degree, when you are no longer a member of the Tokyo Tech staff due to a transfer or leaving your job, or if a PC will no longer be the property of Tokyo Tech, all software installed under the Tokyo Tech umbrella license must be uninstalled.

Individually-owned computer
All software installed under the Tokyo Tech umbrella license must be uninstalled by referring to the Uninstallation Procedure.

University-owned computer

  • When moving the computer to another university due to a job transfer or other reason
  • , all software installed under the Tokyo Tech umbrella license must be uninstalled by referring to the Uninstallation Procedure.
  • When disposing of the computer
  • , unless it is not possible to uninstall the software (due to a computer breakdown, for instance), all software installed under the Tokyo Tech umbrella license must be uninstalled by referring to the Uninstallation Procedure.

Scope of responsibility
The individual bears full responsibility if the terms of the license are violated.

Uninstallation Procedure

To uninstall, first, try using the standard uninstallation procedure. In Windows, uninstall from "Add or Remove Programs" (XP) or "Uninstall a Program" (Vista) in the Control Panel.

Examples of procedures for uninstalling Office and links to websites with other reference information for uninstalling software products are provided below. Refer to this information when uninstalling the software.
Please note that, in the examples, the procedure may not proceed exactly as described depending on your individual computer environment, and so refer to the relevant sections as appropriate.

Please be aware that Tokyo Tech bears absolutely no liability for any problems that arise due to uninstallation of the software installed under the Tokyo Tech umbrella license.
